Passovers focal point, the home Seder service, has been an integral part of Jewish continuity and Jewish family life. It is also a time when guests are invited to family Seder’s and contribute to the conversation, discussions, singing, arguments and fun of the rich traditions of Seder night.

“Guess who is coming to Seder”, has been conceived by David Roth and created in collaboration with ANU – Museum of the Jewish People. It is an Anu Community Project.

Each podcast in this series is a fascinating conversation with David and a guest who is asked which individual from Jewish History they would invite to their family seder, why and what questions they would like to ask them.

The person could be from the dead or the living… from the bible, from the world of politics or academia, the Rabbinate, business, literature, the arts or any other walk of life.  They might be globally famous, a local icon, or an unsung hero who has played a lasting and significant role in their family’s life and journey.

Intertwined in this conversation we learn about David’s interviewees individual Jewish journey. Their part in the continuing Jewish story.

“Guess who is coming to Seder” is an audio podcast series whose aim is to honour, celebrate and remind ourselves just how much Seder means to us all.

Series one contains 10 individual podcasts.

The “Guess who is coming to Seder” project is an Anu Community project and it is our hope that these interviews will be an important contribution for today and for posterity that will in its own way be a key link in the chain in the ever-evolving story of the Jewish people.

 A story that carries with it so many examples of courage, sacrifice, inspiration, learning, compassion and accord.
